- I'm a painter in Ann Arbor, Michigan contact me at kristinhermanson@comcast.net. "My work reflects the social upheaval of the 1970's to the surreal 80's. In the 1990's my art was energized by my experiances living in Florence, Italy, at the Villa Corsi Salviati. I finished my Masters in painting there through he University of Michigan. I attended Mott Comm. College, Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, earned my BFA and Masters in Painting from the University of Michigan School of Art and Design. . I am currently interested in figurative urban street art. I am still influenced by Italian painter, Caravaggio. The work in the 70's is influenced by RB Kitaj, David Hockney,and Dianne Arbus. The 80's were about surreal psychcolgical spaces and color.
